Do we need to replace our intercom?

No. Tinklee is wired in parallel with the panel you already have, and nothing is removed. The old intercom keeps working exactly as before.

How much does it cost?

Managing the building is free. Each resident pays less than $0.50 a month. On iPhone it is billed as one payment every two months. The door hardware is bought once, from any supplier.

Does it work with our door?

If your entrance has an electric lock, or an intercom that already opens it, then almost certainly yes. Tell us about your door and we will point you to the hardware that fits.

Can visitors still use the old intercom?

Yes. Visitors can ring the old way, or scan the QR code and call a resident from their own phone. Both work at the same door.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Your key belongs to your account, not to the handset, so sign in on a new phone and it is there. To cut off the lost one straight away, ask your building manager to remove you from the home and add you back.

Can residents use a smartwatch?

Yes. Apple Watch, Wear OS and Garmin watches all open the door, as well as iPhone and Android.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Opening by phone needs a connection, so it pauses until the line is back. This is exactly why we leave your old intercom and your keys in place.
